The Scenario

Finnair Facilities Management wanted to modernise their IT-systems into intelligent Facility Management System which would provide them better profits, maximise the savings, be ecological and have plenty of flexibility.

Additionally Metsäliitto Group wanted to increase the efficiency of their strategic and finacial planning regarding their manufacturing sites as well as to ensure the correct insurance levels among their properties.

"We decided to use Fatman OrigoXRP Facility Management System because of it has centralised database for all the property information. Database includes profiles for all of our buildings and manufacturing sites. We developed an unique OrigoXRP-solution for Metsäliitto Group. We built a system for them which includes facility management, maintenance system and graphical facility management. The Fatman Solution provides Metsäliitto Group a tool to manage their property taxation, insurances, strategic and finacial planning, maintenance and facility management for their manufacturing sites. The system has integrated facility management, maintenance and graphical facility management systems. The OrigoXRP-solution is used over the internet so there are no software installation requirements. The system is used by Metsäliitto Group's employees and various associates.

Metso Paper Oy:lle on asennettu InfoSpace järjestelmän kiinteistötieto-, huoltokirja- ja graafinen tilahallintajärjestelmät, joilla hoidetaan kiinteistön koko elinkaari suunnittelusta ylläpitoon ja tuotantotoiminnan tilahallintaan. Järjestelmään on integroitu kiinteistötieto-, huoltokirja-, graafinen tilahallinta-, taloushallinta- ja toimistojärjestelmät. Järjestelmän sovelluksia käytetään yrityksen intranetin työasemien välityksellä. Järjestelmää käyttävät oman henkilökunnan lisäksi palveluntuottajat.

Tapiolan lämpö decided to modernise their IT-systems and include facility management, production control, property management, customer service, asset management and monitroring into their IT-plan.

"We wanted an inclusive system to support our core business in the property maintenance and customer service. It is important for us to have an integrated system which we can use real time both in intra and internet with one database."

"We choose Fatman InfoSpace system. All the information regarding the properties we are responsible for are in the system. We can plan the maintenance and repairs needs at the contract stage with a new client. The plans are then taken into the system and are visible to the client as well as to our maintenance staff and contractors over the internet. All iInformation is moving with ease between our billing, accounting and sales systems."

Our helpdesk forwards service enquiries from tenants and other custormers to the maintenance staff and contractors. All the enquiries are replied when they are forwarded, so that the customer knows and can follow the status and actions taken regarding their problem.

"All the important data regarding property management and maintenance is in the system including condition assessments and consumption readings. The readings for energy and water consumption can be integrated to the system with distance reading or input with a mobile internet device."

The Solution

We tailored a Fatman Solution for Tapiolan lämpö. Their InfoSpace system includes Property Management, Production Management, Facility Management, Customer Service, Asset Management, Accounting and Monitoring applications. We created a single solution for all their IT-needs, all the aspects of their business are linked together with a single database. This guarantees the reliability of information as well as reduces the ammount of resources needed for data management. The system is used both in the internal network at Tapiolan lämpö's offices as well as on the field with mobile internet devices. All the automation in properties is integrated with the system, so routine check-ups can be done by minimising the field inspections and meter readings can be received without visiting the property. System is build so that it can be used by different user groups such as tenants, other customers and contractors.

Technopolis wanted internet based facility and maintenance system. At later stage they also wanted to add facility reservations application into their system.

Profiles are following the process and necessary information can be added when it becomes available.
